How to resize an image

  1. Choose one JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC image, up to 25 MB and 40 megapixels.
  2. Type a width or height in pixels. Keep proportions is on, so the other side follows automatically.
  3. For an exact size, turn off Keep proportions and choose Crop to fill or Fit entire image. Drag the preview or use the sliders to choose what stays in frame.
  4. Pick JPG, PNG or WebP, select Resize image, and download. The file name includes the new size, for example photo-1080x1080.jpg.

Pixels are not file size

Width and height set how many pixels the image has. File size, in KB or MB, depends on those pixels and on the format and quality. A smaller pixel size usually makes a smaller file, but not an exact one. To reach a target file size, use Make it smaller instead.

Crop to fill or fit entire image

Crop to fill covers the whole size and trims whatever does not fit. Fit entire image keeps the whole picture and fills the spare space with a background color, or leaves it transparent in PNG and WebP. JPG cannot be transparent, so transparent areas always use the background color.

Limits and local processing

The source must be at most 25 MB and 40 megapixels. Each output side can be up to 8,000 pixels and 40 megapixels in total. Making an image larger than the original adds no detail and can look softer. Resizing runs in your browser; your image is not uploaded.

Phone photos

Photos are resized the way they appear on your phone, using the rotation saved with the photo. Original metadata such as location is not copied to the resized file.

Is resizing free?

Yes. Resizing one image at a time is a basic image tool with no daily limit. File limits still apply.

Can I resize many images to several sizes?

Pro adds batches of up to 20 images, up to 5 output sizes, and one ZIP download. You can check the crop for every image before exporting. Checkout is in test mode; no real charges yet.

Will my image be stretched?

No. Unpin always keeps the image's proportions. It either scales it, crops it, or adds space around it.

Images, video, and audio you select are processed in your browser. That includes batch conversions, background removal, audio noise reduction, and ZIP downloads. We do not upload those files to a conversion server.

Closing or refreshing this page clears the active files and results. Files you download remain wherever you save them. Your original files are unchanged.

Reel and TikTok downloads are in limited testing. When available to you, links and their videos will be processed on a server, with that explained in the download tool.

This version has no accounts, payment collection, advertising trackers, or saved conversion history. The hosting service receives ordinary website requests, and Google Fonts receives requests to load the fonts. Processing software is downloaded from this site.
