How to extract audio
- Choose a saved MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV file up to 100 MB.
- Choose MP3, WAV or M4A in Convert to.
- Select Export audio, then listen to the result and download it.
Choose the output for the job
MP3 is a practical choice for everyday listening. M4A uses AAC audio. WAV produces uncompressed PCM audio and can be substantially larger. Converting a compressed recording to WAV does not restore missing quality.
A simple example
Keep an interview’s soundtrack for transcription, or listen to a recorded presentation without keeping the picture. This tool exports the first audio track from the whole file; it does not select a time range.
Supported files and privacy
Video inputs: MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV, up to 100 MB. The same Audio tab also converts MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC and OGG. Codec support varies. A roughly 32 MB engine downloads on first use; file processing happens in your browser, without an account or file upload to a conversion server.
No sound in the result?
Play the original first. A silent video may have no audio track, and a multi-track video may place the track you want after the first one. Unpin currently selects the first track. Unsupported audio codecs can also cause an error.
Before you start
Can I paste a Reel or TikTok link here?
No. This page works with files already on your device. Social-link downloads are not live yet. YouTube downloading is not offered.
Is the audio copied without any quality change?
No. This tool re-encodes the first audio track into your chosen format. MP3 and M4A use 192 kbps; WAV uses 16-bit PCM.
Can I remove background noise too?
Yes. Use the separate noise-cleanup tool for spoken audio or video up to 10 minutes and 100 MB. It changes the sound and produces mono speech.
